Graeme Elliot – Non-Executive Chairman

Mr Elliot, aged 64, was appointed to the board in February 1996. He was formerly executive vice chairman of Slough Estates PLC prior to which he held senior positions at Rio Tinto PLC.

Harry Hyman – Managing Director

Mr Hyman, aged 50, was appointedto the board in February 1996. He is the founder and Managing Director of Nexus Structured Group Holdings, the holding company for a group of companies engaged in the provision of independent advice and financial services to organizations operating in the public and private sectors with particular emphasis on health and property, of which Nexus PHP Management Limited is a subsidiary. He is also a non-executive director of General Medical Clinics PLC and a number of other companies including Royal London UK Income and Equity Trust PLC.

Martin Gilbert – Non-executive Director

Mr Gilbert, aged 51, was appointed to the board in May 1996. He is chief executive of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC. He is chairman of FirstGroup PLC, Chaucer PLC and a director of a number of investment trusts.

William Hemmings (alternate to Mr Gilbert)

Mr Hemmings, aged 41, was appointed by Mr Gilbert as his alternate in March 2000. He is a fund manager with Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited. He specialises in the fields of smaller company and property share investment.

James Hambro - Non-executive Director

Mr Hambro, aged 58 , was appointed to the board in February 1996. He is chairman of J O Hambro Capital Management Group Limited and its subsidiaries and corporate entities, including J O Hambro Capital Management Limited. He is also a director of Singer and Friedlander AIM 3 VCT PLC and Hansteen Holdings PLC

Dr Ian Rutter O.B.E - Non Executive Director

Dr Ian Rutter O.B.E.*, aged 53, Non Executive Director. Appointed to the Board and as a Member of the Audit Committee on 22 September 2005. He has been a General Practitioner for 24 years with the Westcliffe Practice in Shipley, Yorkshire previously First Wave and Total Purchasing Practice. He was until January 2006 Chief Executive of North Bradford PCT, Three Star Trust having previously won the Prime Minister’s Award for excellence and which won PCT of the Year in 2005. Former Joint Chief Executive Officer of Airedale PCT and North Bradford PCT, he has also worked as an associate of the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit and has worked at a senior level within the Department of Health and on committees such as Payment by Results. Dr Rutter retains an ongoing clinical commitment and was made O.B.E. for Services to Medicine in January 2000 in recognition of his contribution to general practice and numerous national organisations.

Alun Jones

Alun Jones aged 59 appointed to the board on 1 May 2007 as a Non-Executive Director of the Audit Committee and of the Management Engagement Committee. Alun is a Chartered Accountant and recently retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he had been a partner since 1981.
